MSTyr15 presented in Ankara

On Wednesday 31 January 2018, the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology (MSIT) of the Republic of Turkey organised a meeting in Ankara for the representatives of hypermarkets and e-commerce companies. This was the opportunity to present the Market Surveillance Action for Tyres 2015 (MSTyr15) to the attendees and raise the awareness about tyre labeling legislation.

The Market Surveillance for Tyres 2015, a pan-European programme coordinated by PROSAFE, targets C1 passenger car tyres for normal and extreme weather conditions. The main objective of this project is to help deliver the intended economic and environment benefits of the labelling of tyres with respect to improving fuel efficiency and other essential parameters by increasing the rates of compliance with regulatory requirements: Regulation (EC) No 1222/2009, Regulation (EU) No 228/2011, and Regulation (EU) No 1235/2011.

Fifteen Market Surveillance Authorities form the European Union and Turkey are part of MSTyr15.
